I am a Colombian graphic designer, printmaker, and educator based in Providence, RI. I am an Assistant Professor of Communication Design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt).
I am a partner at buena gráfica social studio, where I work on community oriented projects related with language, culture, social justice, health, education, and environment.
I collaborate with cultural, non-profit, and commercial clients such as AS220, The Steel Yard, The Greenhorns, The ICA Boston, MassDevelopment, Stoltze Design, the RISD Museum, RISD Co-Works, PVD World Music, Rhode Island Department of Health, and the City of Providence.
I am an artist in residence at AS220 and I currently teach at MassArt. I was previsouly an AICAD Fellow professor at Moore College of Art and Design, and have taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, and Boston University.
I hold an MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA in Design from the Universidad de los Andes, in my native Bogotá.
My work has been recognized
by the Type Director’s Club and by the Society of Typographic Arts.
I am available for projects and collaborations.
